Yataghans are a type of knives and swords from the Steppes of East Europe through to Central Asia. They have a unique forward S curved blade that is very beautiful and provides very unique handling characteristics. It strongly favours offensive use, as the shape allows for unusual maneuvers that your opponents will not anticipate.
This design is more of a fantasy interpretation of the Yataghan. It uses the traditional 'ear' handle, but the blade design exaggerates the traditional level of curve and has been lengthened to a more practical length for 1 handed LARP weapons.
