The Dussack is a strongly cut-focused sword, with a complex guard to protect the hand.
Though these swords are often called a cutlass in sources, we have used the term Dussack, as ours are modelled off a type of hilt called a 'Sinclair hilt', as opposed to a dish hilt, which is what most people think of, when imagining a cutlass.
Sinclair hilts are a kind of half-basket, offering excellent protection to the hand, and a good amount of weight to help with strong parries and heavy cuts, useful in close quarters fighting, as they were usually used on ships.
